Smooth, light and naturally creamy, a rare speciality oolong tea grown at altitude in the Fujian Mountains. Mature leaves are picked after the first frost and partially oxidised before being rolled and roasted to release a sweet, floral aroma with a distinctive milky character. Naturally low in caffeine and rich in antioxidants, the leaves can be steeped multiple times, revealing new layers of flavour with each infusion. Available as loose leaf tea or in plastic free tea bags, Milky Oolong Tea is a true celebration of tea craft.

Description

Originally grown in Taiwan, this particular Milk Oolong is purchased from a cooperative in the Fujian Mountains. The care and quality of processing creates a tea like no other. Light and sweet, naturally low in caffeine and high in antioxidants, this tea savours all the benefits of a Green Tea, but with a unique and endlessly drinkable flavour. Often likened to have a ‘milky’ flavour, this blend is completely natural and contains no milk or dairy and should be drunk black.

These exceptional leaves are hand picked following the first frosts, lending the leaves a natural sweetness. Like other Oolongs, the leaves are then allowed to partially oxidise and are considered a lightly oxidised leaf. The leaves are then hand rolled and roasted ahead of steeping. This blend is fantastic for all levels of tea drinking and is a great alternative for coffee drinkers looking for a bean-to-tea replacement.

Packaging

We are proud to be 100% Plastic Free. Our packaging uses fully compostable materials like kraft paper and plant-derived PLA, ensuring a sustainable choice and uncompromising freshness. Our teabags are made from Soilon, a plant-based mesh derived from Organic Sugarcane, making them fully biodegradable. You can dispose of our packaging in a food waste bin, contributing to a cleaner environment and supporting a greener future.
